About
The Story
So Far
Harry Carman is a Canberra-based singer-songwriter crafting indie folk and soul music that speaks to real moments — the kind of songs that feel like they were written about you.
With a voice that's warm, honest and a little world-weary, Harry draws from personal experience to write music that connects. Whether performing at intimate venues or festivals, he brings the same raw authenticity that defines every song.
His latest single 'It's All Good' is out now — a soulful, hopeful track about choosing to look forward even when life gets heavy.
The Journey
From early bedroom recordings to stages across Canberra — here's how it happened.
Years
Finding the Music
Growing up in Canberra, Harry discovered a passion for songwriting as a teenager — learning guitar, filling notebooks with lyrics, and finding that music was the clearest way to say the things he couldn't otherwise articulate.
Debut EP — Paths
Harry released his debut EP Paths, a collection of five original tracks that announced his arrival as a genuine songwriter. Raw, honest and full of heart, it introduced the sound that would define his work.
Sophomore EP — A State Of Sedation
The follow-up EP expanded Harry's sound with deeper production and more personal storytelling. A State Of Sedation showed a songwriter finding his voice and not afraid to use it.
Stepping Back
Life had other plans for a while. Harry stepped back from performing to focus on work, relationships, and figuring things out — the kind of quiet time that ends up feeding everything that comes after.
Spark
Back in the Room — Josh Richens
A collaboration with producer Josh Richens reignited everything. Getting back into the studio, Harry rediscovered why he wrote music in the first place — and came out with material that felt more honest than anything before.
